Minimum Viable Prototype
Footage of the minimum viable product scene (chapter 7.1 in thesis). The whole audio track was recorded from the app and not modified, so it is exactly what is played on the headphones.
This is an appendix to the thesis Runner's High: Creating Interactive Audio Experiences for Runners and provides further documentation to chapters 5.6, 7.1, 7.2 and 7.5.
Footage of the minimum viable product scene (chapter 7.1 in thesis). The whole audio track was recorded from the app and not modified, so it is exactly what is played on the headphones.
Footage of the tape recorder audio book scene (chapter 7.2 in thesis). Here, I added a low-pass filtered recording of my steps because this comes closer to the real experience when using the app as the sound design is rather subtle. All other sound (tape hiss, audiobook, tape rewind) was directly recorded from the app.
At approx. 0:30, the warble becomes audible. It disappears after I increased my speed.
Footage of the interactive music scene (chapter 7.5 in thesis). The whole audio track was recorded from the app and not modified, so it is exactly what is played on the headphones. Set change and binaural "boost" sources as described in thesis cannot be heard because I was running too slowly.
